Editorial Note: This Order was originally made under the Corrupt and Illegal Practices Ordinance (Cap. 288). Though that Ordinance was repealed, this Order continues in force so far as it is not inconsistent with the Elections (Corrupt and Illegal Conduct) Ordinance (Cap. 554) and has the effect for all purposes as if made under Cap. 554. (See section 48 of Cap. 554)

1. Application

This Order shall apply to elections for geographical constituencies of the Urban Council and the Regional Council to be held on or after 5 March 1995.

2. Maximum scale of election expenses

For the purposes of section 13(1) of the Ordinance*, the maximum scale of election expenses that may be incurred by or on behalf of a candidate in respect of election to a geographical constituency of the Urban Council or the Regional Council shall be $100,000.
