Metrication Amendments (Places of Public Entertainment Regulations) Order

This Order may be cited as the Metrication Amendments (Places of Public Entertainment Regulations) Order.
Subject to paragraph 3, the use of non-metric units in documents submitted under the Places of Public Entertainment Regulations (Cap. 172 sub. leg. A) after 31 March 1977 is prohibited.
Non-metric units shall continue to be used in documents submitted under the Places of Public Entertainment Regulations (Cap. 172 sub. leg. A) until 1 January 1980 where such documents constitute amendments to, or otherwise relate to, documents submitted before 1 April 1977 in which non-metric units have been used, unless such last mentioned documents are resubmitted incorporating the use of metric units.
No document shall be submitted under the Places of Public Entertainment Regulations (Cap. 172 sub. leg. A) containing references to both metric and non-metric units.
Without prejudice to the provisions of paragraph 2 or 3, but subject to paragraph 6 the provisions of the Places of Public Entertainment Regulations (Cap. 172 sub. leg. A) specified in the first column of the Schedule are amended by deleting, wherever it appears, the expression specified in the second column thereof opposite each such provision and substituting in each place the expression specified in the third column thereof opposite each such provision.
In respect of any premises which, on 1 April 1977, are licensed or are the subject of an application to be licensed as a place of public entertainment under the Places of Public Entertainment Regulations (Cap. 172 sub. leg. A), or in relation to which, before 1 April 1977, documents have been submitted under the Places of Public Entertainment Regulations (Cap. 172 sub. leg. A) to the Director of Building Development, the said regulations shall continue to apply as if they had not been amended by paragraph 5.
