Registration of Persons (Invalidation of Identity Cards) Order 2024

2. Invalidation of identity cards

(1)

All identity cards—

(a)

issued before 26 November 2018, or issued on or after that date as a result of an application made before that date; and

(b)

bearing a date of birth in 1970 or any year after 1970,

cease to be valid on 12 May 2025.

(2)

All identity cards—

(a)

issued before 26 November 2018, or issued on or after that date as a result of an application made before that date; and

(b)

bearing a date of birth in 1969 or any year before 1969,

cease to be valid on 12 October 2025.
