Births and Deaths Registration (Description of Causes of Death) Regulations

1. Citation

These regulations may be cited as the Births and Deaths Registration (Description of Causes of Death) Regulations.

2. Description according to W.H.O.’s 3-Digit List

For the purpose of paragraph (d) of section 20 of the Births and Deaths Registration Ordinance (Cap. 174), causes of death shall be described in accordance with the Detailed List of Three-Digit Categories (3位數字詳細分類表) set out in the Manual of the International Statistical Classification of Diseases, Injuries and Causes of Death (國際病症、損傷及死亡原因統計分類手冊), published by or by arrangement with the World Health Organization and as the same may from time to time be revised.
