Clubs (Safety of Premises) (Fees) Regulations

These regulations may be cited as the Clubs (Safety of Premises) (Fees) Regulations.

In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires—
gross floor area (總樓面面積) means the floor area contained within the external walls of the building measured at each floor level (including any floor below the level of the ground, and any roof used for club purposes), together with the area of each balcony in the building, which shall be calculated from the overall dimensions of the balcony (including the thickness of the sides thereof), and the thickness of the external walls of the building.The fee payable for the issue of a certificate of exemption under section 5(2)(b) or the renewal of a certificate of exemption under section 6(2) of the Ordinance shall be calculated according to the period of validity of the certificate as follows—
for a period of 12 months—$720;
for any other period—one-twelfth of $720 multiplied by the number of months for which the certificate is issued or renewed, as the case may be.
The fee payable for the issue of a certificate of compliance under section 5(2)(a) or the renewal of a certificate of compliance under section 9 of the Ordinance shall be determined by reference to the gross floor area of the relevant club house as follows—

Where a certificate of compliance is issued under section 5(2)(a) or renewed under section 9 of the Ordinance for any period other than 12 months, the fee for such issue or renewal shall be determined by multiplying one-twelfth of the fee, determinable under regulation 4, by the number of months for which the certificate of compliance is issued or renewed, as the case may be.
The Secretary may waive, remit, reduce or refund the whole or any part of a fee for which provision is made under these regulations.
