Food Business Regulation (Exemption from Section 31(1)) Notice

Any person who—
carries on the business of bottling or canning edible oil; or
carries on the business of a restaurant or of a siu mei and lo mei shop, and does so in—
a public market in a stall which he holds under a tenancy agreement with the Director of Food and Environmental Hygiene; or
a private market as a licensed stallholder under the Private Markets Regulation (Cap. 132 sub. leg. BG); or (E.R. 4 of 2019)
carries on the business of sorting, sifting, drying or repacking of tea; or (L.N. 105 of 1984; L.N. 100 of 1993)
carries on the business of packing of rice, (L.N. 100 of 1993)
is hereby exempted, to the extent of such business, from the obligation to hold a food business licence under section 31(1) of the Food Business Regulation (Cap. 132 sub. leg. X).
