Land Registration Fees Regulations

These regulations may be cited as the Land Registration Fees Regulations.
In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires—
computer printout (電腦印製本) has the meaning assigned by regulation 2 of the Land Registration Regulations (Cap. 128 sub. leg. A); (L.N. 248 of 1986) instrument (文書) includes any deed, conveyance, lis pendens, judgment or other instrument in writing. (56 of 1992 s. 18; E.R. 6 of 2019)The fees set forth in the Schedule shall be taken in the Land Registry for the matters therein mentioned. (L.N. 35 of 1996)

A fee to be taken pursuant to this regulation in respect of any instrument delivered or redelivered for registration shall be paid by the person for whose benefit or on whose behalf the instrument is so delivered or redelivered. (L.N. 139 of 1981)
The Land Registrar may waive any fee required to be taken in respect of any of the matters mentioned in the Schedule if he is satisfied that the fee would, if charged, be paid out of the general revenue.
Subject to paragraph (2), the Land Registrar shall waive the fee required to be taken under—
item 10 of the Schedule for supplying a copy of any register card; or (20 of 2002 s. 5)
item 11 of the Schedule for supplying information, (20 of 2002 s. 5)

if he is satisfied that the copy or information, as the case may be, is required in connection with a proposed incorporation of owners under the Building Management Ordinance (Cap. 344). (L.N. 35 of 1996)
The fee required to be taken but waived under paragraph (1) shall be paid by the Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs out of the general revenue. (L.N. 35 of 1996; L.N. 144 of 2022)
